Munich Re America Recognized as ' Top 125 ' Global Learning Organizations by Training Magazine

March 14, 2008 -- Munich Re America has been selected as a recipient of Training magazine’s “Top 125” Global Learning Organizations designation. Training magazine, one of the leading periodicals devoted to the field of training and development, annually ranks companies based on a number of benchmarking statistics, including training budget, number of hours of training per employee, levels of evaluation and workplace surveys.

The highly coveted “Top 125” designation is determined by a panel assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs and how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives.

The selected companies were feted at an awards dinner February 4, during the magazine’s Training 2008 Conference and Expo in Atlanta, Georgia. Winning companies, representing many different industries, included Aetna, Commerce Bank, Delta Airlines, General Mills, Microsoft, The Vanguard Group, Verizon Wireless, and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.

Training magazine noted at the ceremony and in its February 2008 issue the significant impact of Munich Re America’s Leadership Development program on the strategic direction of the company and in maintaining a position of leadership within our market.

“I think the award speaks volumes about the quality of our training programs and our commitment to employees to help them develop both personally and professionally. Being named a “Top 125” company validates that we are doing the right things to create a true performance culture, and ensures that our clients are able to continue to partner with the most knowledgeable and experienced people in the industry,” says Tony Kuczinski. "We will continue to improve our employee development programs so that we maintain our industry leadership position and make Munich Re the employer of choice worldwide."

This award comes on the heels of Munich Re America being named the winner of the Award for Excellence in Leadership Development for the Delaware Valley at the Delaware Valley HR Department of the Year Award Annual Celebration in October.
